No, really- are you READY?
Wrockstock is less than 50 days away, and friends- we're ready.
Think about it... Dozens of bands, hundreds of friends, arts and crafts, canoe-ing, and even a Deathday Party for Nearly Headless Nick. It'll be beyond brilliant, and heck, I may even jump onstage for a performance or two!
So guys, tickets are going fast- so if you want to come, now's the time to do sign up.
Here's the link to the Registration site!
Also, for those of you looking to wrock in style, the new SPC ARMY uniforms are available.
Simple, elegant, and underpriced- it's a grand way to show your support for our show and our message of love. There are two versions available. The non-regulation uniform is the one shown above.
If you've enjoyed SpinnersCast and you're going to Wrockstock, think you're going to Wrockstock, hope you're going to Wrockstock, or simply want to go to Wrockstock- RSVP!
SpinnersCast was the first of the mainstream HP podcasts (meaning, non-wrockradio) to focus intensively on Wizard Rock with the inception of the Beyond the Books interviews in October of 2006 (that's "Wizard Rock Month" to you and me). Help the podcast celebrate the one year anniversary of the segment by coming to Wrockstock and partying it up, Potter-style.

This will be a relaxed weekend full of HP fun, wizard rock and halloween-y goodness. Two nights of music, one electric, one acoustic...other activities will include a Triwizard Tournament, Nearly Headless Nick's Deathday party, HP crafts, plus it's a choose-your-own-adventure weekend, where you can create your own schedule of daytime activities based on what the Lodge offers.
It's going to be an amazing weekend!
It's your last chance to vote for SpinnersCast in this year's prestigious Podcast Awards! We're up against some amazing competition in the Culture/Arts category, so it's certainly a huge-tastic honor to be nominated! Thank you all for your LOVE and support!
Now on to other SPC Army business:
We're goin' to WROCKSTOCK '07!! Here's the rundown for the event:
Wrockstock Spooktacular 2007

You will need to purchase a ticket for Wrockstock AND a reservation at the Lodge. You must stay at the lodge, but your housing options include guest rooms, lofts, and cabins. They can only sell 300 tickets because of space concerns at the Lodge. Both Wrock reservations and Lodge reservations end September 1, 2007.

Wrockstock bands playing:
Catchlove, The Cedric Diggorys, DJ Luna Lovegood, Draco and the Malfoys, The Hungarian Horntails, Ministry of Magic, The Quaffle Kids, The Remus Lupins, Tom Riddle and Friends, and The Whomping Willows.

It's going to be an amazing time, and it won't break your bank like the other cons have.
So vote for SpinnersCast (and SnapeCast and SlashCast) for the 2007 Podcast Awards, register for Wrockstock, and re-listen to SpinnersCast Episode 43 this weekend!
We're recording Episode 44 as I type, so it'll be out soon enough!!
The awards are based SOLELY on voting! Please visit http://www.podcastawards.com every single day through August 11th and cast your vote! It's simple, it takes 30 seconds of your time, and it could mean big things for the SPC Army in the future.
The BBC says "SpinnersCast is the best Harry Potter podcast- BY FAR..." and we'd like to prove that our listeners believe it as well.
Thank you so much!
Also, remember to vote for our friends in the S-Cast Alliance (SnapeCast in the "Entertainment" category, and SlashCast in the "GLBT" category)!! We'd love to see a Harry Potter podcast sweep of the awards this year!
Work it, SPC! I'm heading back to Cali this afternoon. I'll be reunited with my boyz and laaadies, and much book reading, squeeing, crying, and debauchery shall ensue.
It's that time of year- Award Season! And the cast and crew here at SPC implore you to take 2.7 minutes out of your life, and nominate us for The Podcast Awards. No, they don't have a flashy name, but it would be a tremendous honor just to be nominated!
Here's all you have to do: visit PodcastAwards.com and nominate SpinnersCast in the "Best Produced" category, and the "Cultural/Arts" category. Send us an email letting us know you nominated us as well! We'd like to give you a shout out for your generosity!
Also, a huge thanks to those of you who have already voted for us on Podcast Alley this month!! On the latest episode of SpinnersCast (out this week), Jace from Catchlove will announce the winner of our Summer of Love contest- and tell you all who won The Order of the Phoenix audiobook!!
Thanks again to all of you for listening and writing and commenting!
You make this crazy old Slytherin smile.
For those of you who were wondering about the rewards you get for each level, here they are:
Outstanding: Invitation to become a teacher at Hogwarts.
Exceeds Expectations: Invitation to work at the Ministry of Magic.
Acceptable: Invitation to work at Flourish and Blotts, Nimbus Broom Company and/or Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes.
"Acceptable" folks got the best of the lot! I don't know many people who'd turn down a job working for the Weasley twins.
Well- I would turn it down. Slytherin that I am, I'd love to work my way up at the Ministry(through noble means, hard work, and friendly contacts of course- I'm no gold jingling Malfoy) and become an Unspeakable or a high level Auror.
I'd like to be a teacher, of course- but the opportunities for travel and excitement with the Ministry would be far better fun, in my opinion.
What invitation would you all want?

Big Buckets of thanks to everyone who participated in the play and podcast, and helped us before/during/after the event! Thanks to Squibby and Abbers for attempting to keep me fed before the show, thanks to Alex, Brittany and Kristina for performing with us, thanks to Tom Riddle and Friends for attempting to play for us (before getting kicked out), more thanks to our SnapeCast friends who were supportive throughout the process, and the biggest thanks of all goes to our friends, listeners, and people off the street who showed up to be in our audience. There were a lot of other things you could have done that night (it's New Orleans, c'mon!), but you spent it with us. That's pure awesomesauce.</font>
